    FIBERPRO’s Polarization Scrambler, the PS3300, performs polarization scrambling and achieves depolarization effect by making the degree of polarization (DOP) near zero within an extremely short amount of time. Based completely on optical fiber technology, the PS3000 is a compact instrument with near zero insertion loss and no back reflection. Polarization dependence is one of the biggest issues in fiber-optic measurement, communications, and sensors such as PDL in components and equipment, with Polarization Dependent Gain (PDG) in EDFA being a typical example. Depolarization is one solution for the polarization issue, and our Polarization Scrambler provides the best solution for most situations in which depolarization is needed. This product provides you with an excellent way to characterize/qualify optical property of optical devices. Furthermore, our product can solve the problem associated with PDG of EDFAs through polarization scrambling of the optical signal.
